Pedicure Hack

As Summer progresses I think all girls are experiencing the results of running around barefoot or in open shoes exposing our feet to dirt, sun, etc. The first thing we do is make an appointment at the local nail salon for a pedicure and then of course upgrade the pedicure to a "spa pedicure" to remedy the ugly, dried, calloused skin on our feet and heels. I'm not sure about you ladies but I've pretty much perfected painting my own toes, it's the magic those ladies work on my battered feet that has always left me broke. Sooooo with that said I offer you my tested and proven solution to yucky heels.

As I mentioned in my very first post this is something you could go and purchase and do this very afternoon being a CoCo girl ! I don't know about you ? But I'm a see it-want it immediately kind of girl. I don't want to have to drive to the mall for it or wait for it to come in the mail.

Supplies: Towel
                Tub to soak your feet
                Plastic wrap
                Foot file
                Be Natural Callous Remover

Directions: Soak feet for 10 minutes in warm water, pat feet dry, apply callous remover gel (read the directions this stuff is no joke), wrap your feet in plastic wrap, wait 5 minutes max, remove plastic wrap, file, and watch the grossness roll off ! Make sure to finish with a moisturizer. Happy Feet !

This is something I feel very strongly about, especially seeing the amazing affects that just one bag of blood can do to help an ill person.  I understand that many people don't donate blood due to fear, beliefs, religion, etc. I'm just asking that you try and give it a little thought. If it's fear that's stopping you I promise that the pain from the needle only last seconds. If it's just a personal belief try and dig deep inside and think of all the possibilities your one donation might make on someone else who may have nothing else to help them but that one bag of blood. If it's religion I really can't preach, or make any other comment except as to how I feel. If there is a God or some other Holy being, I'd like to think in my heart that that being would want the people he created to help each other as much as possible. I understand this all goes far deeper than what I could possible get in to, I'm just saying give it an extra thought. Plus the psychological high you get after is amazing ! Oh btw I'm O+ which is the most common blood type - 37%, so there's a good chance that my donation could help you (God forbid)...kinda cool though.  Save A Life ! Donate Blood

Here we go...

As of recent I've been very fortunate in having a lot of time on my hands. I find myself trying and researching how to be a better me. From diet, exercise, self acceptance, beauty, fashion, hobbies, health, and being an overall better person.

So in this blog I'm going to share all of my explorations, no this is nothing new to the blogging world.  However, I feel like my input may be a little different, being as I'm basing my posts about living in the small community of Columbia County. I will try to keep my posts based on things that are obtainable right here in our town. I've decided to do so because so many of the blogs I've followed are just too high end or totally out of reach for the average girl living in "CoCo" !
